Post-construction cleaning
Post-construction cleaning and final cleaning after building work
A complete cleaning solution around your building project
Whether you have a carpenter, a painter or a larger building project under way, we can offer a complete cleaning solution. You can contact us before the project starts, during the work or when it is finished and ready for final cleaning. If we are involved from the start, we can cover furniture and fittings, making the final clean less extensive.
You get a dedicated contact person who acts as coordinator and link between you and the job. We can carry out interim cleaning during the project and the final clean, and we are happy to provide tradespeople from our regular network.
When should post-construction cleaning be done?
Cleaning after construction work is usually divided into interim cleaning and final cleaning. Interim cleaning removes dust and loose waste between phases, so the next trades can get in. The final clean is carried out when the dusty work is finished and the premises need to be ready for use or handover. Timing matters: if drilling, sanding or cutting continues after cleaning, many surfaces will need to be cleaned again.
The plan therefore follows the building process. We agree which rooms are released when, whether cleaning is done all at once or in stages, and who removes construction waste. When the premises then need to be kept clean day to day, the work can continue as office and daily cleaning.
What we agree before we start
Before work begins, we go through the area, building phase, access and handover date. We note delicate surfaces, new floors, glazing and areas where other trades are still working, and we agree power, water, waste handling and who approves the result.
The final inspection is based on the agreed task list. Any new tasks are clarified separately, so the original agreement stays clear.
Frequently asked questions about post-construction cleaning
What is the difference between interim and final cleaning?
Interim cleaning removes dust and waste between building phases. Final cleaning makes the premises ready for use, move-in or handover once the dusty work is finished.
Can you cover furniture before the work starts?
Yes. If we are involved from the start, we can cover fittings so there is less dust to remove afterwards.
Do you remove construction waste?
We dispose of packaging and loose waste. Who handles actual construction waste is agreed before we start.
Can cleaning be completed before a fixed move-in date?
Yes. We plan around your handover date and can work in stages or outside normal working hours.
